WWE Women’s Champion – Steve Stratis

steve stratis is an American professional wrestler who competes in the Women’s Division and is signed to WWE. She is the current Raw Women’s Champion and has also won the title once before, in 2012. She is a four-time Canadian National Champion and a two-time Intercontinental Champion. During her time in the WWE, she has also competed for the NWA World Tag Team Championship and has worked on various reality television shows.

In addition to wrestling, Stratis has done a number of acting roles and guest starred on the comedy series MAD TV and the CBC series Second City’s Next Comedy Legend. She is also a yoga instructor. She has been involved with numerous charities, including the Ronald McDonald House and Dreams Take Flight. She is also the godmother of fellow wrestler Lita.

Stratis was born in Toronto, Ontario. She has a BA in psychology and political science from York University and a master’s degree in music composition from the University of Pennsylvania, where she received the Dean’s Scholar Award and George Crumb Fellowship. Throughout her career, she has won numerous artistic prizes and grants from organizations such as the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage, Princeton University, and the New England Conservatory.

Her in-ring debut came on the June 20 taping of SmackDown!, where she teamed up with Booker T and defeated Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero. She continued to compete on SmackDown until her Raw contract expired and was released at the end of September. Upon her return to Raw, she began a storyline with Chris Jericho by agreeing to go on a date with him. During the date, she overheard Jericho talking to Christian about sleeping with his girlfriend Lita. This led to a brawl between the three which culminated in a “Battle of the Sexes” match at Armageddon, where Stratus and Lita lost.

At the November 12 episode of Raw, Stratus won the Bra and Panties tag team match with Torrie Wilson and Stacy Keibler in a three-way match that also featured Test and Albert. The following night, she competed in the first-ever WWE Evolution pay-per-view in a six-woman tag team match where she and her sister Lita defeated Alicia Fox, Mickie James, and Sasha Banks to win the Women’s Championship.
